Our Initiatives

Bring Our Music Back, Inc. dedicates itself to fostering youth artistic development and opportunities through the following initiatives currently and over the next 18 months.

Artist Mentorships and Music Scholarships

We pair aspiring talent with seasoned artists in our mentorship programs for support, advice, guidance and performance exposure and opportunities. Young talent will thrive under the seasoned guidance of our artist mentors with the goal of nurturing and developing burgeoning youth talent. Through our events, we provide performance opportunities with national recording artists. A portion of funds raised through ticket sales are directed to Youth in Music scholarships awarded to deserving youth talent.

 Music Enrichment and Education Programs

Funding for the art education has been cut drastically in most public schools. We develop and support independent music enrichment programs offered as an adjunct to school music curriculums. Our current programs offer presentations of music heritage, music appreciation and an introduction to diverse genres of music giving students a solid foundation of music.

Music and Healing Initiatives

Music heals. We support music therapy programs for children within the healthcare system through the Connecticut Children's Medical Center.  We are developing partnerships with other hospitals including Hospice of Connecticut. Children and adults respond dramatically to artists live performances within the healthcare system and thus, it has become a powerful tool in many music therapies in which we support.

Community Support and Music Awareness

Our goal is to partner with like-minded arts organizations with missions that support music and arts development of urban centers, schools and communities bringing music awareness to these centers enriching exposure to the performing musical arts. We are developing an instrument procurement program for under funded music programs in our communites making the tools of music more obtainable and accessible to our youth.

Community and Cultural Outreach

We develop concert venues to bring LIVE music back to Main Street, Parks and Town Greens. Our goal is to develop youth music camps and annual music seminars to bring the community and parents in touch with the industry and emphasizing its importance in the developing cultural lives of youth.
