Town Green Starry Nite Series Summer 2011

Every summer, Bring Our Music Back, Inc. partners with the Village Shops to bring free live al fresco music to the Village Shops green. Youth groups perform for family and friends mid-week during the summer. Watch for 2011 schedule to be announced early Spring.

 

Summer Nights at Harkness . . .Music the Way it Was!  July-August, 2011

In collaboration with Kitichings Productions, we presented a summer music series carrying on a 20 year tradition of the old days of Summer Music held at one of our State's most treasured landmark's, Harkness Memorial State Park. Picnicking under the stars with family and friends while listening to to the best in al fresco music ... classical, pops, jazz, folk and more. In the summer of 2010, we brought in the Ledgendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band on tour from New Orleans, LA ! Talk about soul and the heart of music ! Our second concert in 2010 was with the performance of The One and the Only Tommy Dorsey Band--the Gentleman's King of Swing.  Many took a magical walk down memory lane as over 1,000 attendee guests swung the night away! We are now planning for 4-5 concerts in the summer of 2011 . Planning is underway as we await approval from the State of Connecticut . Last year we attracted over 1,000 guests at each concert ...Music the Way it Was! Season to be announced February, 2011. October's Halloween Blues Bash at the Bee & Thistle Inn: Friday, October 27, 2011

 Mark those ghoulish calendars now for our 2nd Annual Halloween Bash at the Bee & Thistle Inn and Spa of Old Lyme. Costumes, a frightfully delicious buffet and special holloween spirit concoctions by RIPE Corporation.  Watch the website for tickets and more information as we head into Fall, 2011 ! Annual Holiday Festival of Trees & Music: November 20-December 4, 2011

A magical holiday exhibit of corporate sponsored trees decorated by area designers and businesses on display for 14 days. Delight in a wonderful display of holiday trees throughout the our proposed 2011 host site at the Lyme Art Association. Breakfast with Santa, Cookie decorating, holiday craft making for kids and Winter Wonderland Holiday Boutique, and more. Each year, we will partner with Toys for Tots and the festival is produced in collaboration with Kitchings Productions. Youth Performance groups will present holiday music throughout the 14 days of the exhibit. B.O.M.B. FEST 2011 ...An all day explosion of music! Memorial Day Weekend, Sat & Sun... May 28-29, 2011

Bring Our Music Back, Inc. works within the production of this youth cultural music festival to provide burgeoning talent opportunities to perform with the national headliners. We produce performance and artistic master classes and pre-festival music seminars for young talent and interested festival attendees. The event is produced over 2 days on 4 stages, drawing over 7,000 attendees from over 23 States. The Festival takes place every May and this year will be held on the campus of Western Connecticut State College .... it is  fast becoming Connecticut's premiere concert festival for a target market of 18-45 year olds.
